“3:10 to Yuma”

Since I KNOW my friend chineseambassador has seen this movie, I am dedicating this post to her!

This movie is a remake of an older movie titled the same but from 1957. I have never seen the original one but I liked this one a lot. It had a lot of action but not too much (my eyes did not hurt trying to follow the movement). Usually when I hear the word “western” I think boring. There are exceptions and this movie was one of them! There are some scenes in the movie that might make you cry, some that might make you mad, and some that might even make you laugh. 3:10 to Yuma has a little something in it for everyone! I give this movie 4 stars!

Below I have listed background info for the movie (and a trailer – provided by youtube.com).

Plot (provided by none other than imbd.com):

“Rancher Dan Evans heads into Bisbee to clear up issues concerning the sake of his land when he witnesses the closing events of a stagecoach robbery led by famed outlaw Ben Wade. Shortly thereafter, Wade is captured by the law in Bisbee and Evans finds himself one of the escorts who will take Wade to the 3:10 to Yuma train in Contention for the reward of $200. Evans’s effort to take Wade to the station is in part an effort to save his land but also part of an inner battle to determine whether he can be more than just a naive rancher in the eyes of his impetuous and gunslinging son William Evans. The transport to Contention is hazardous and filled with ambushes by Indians, pursuits by Wade’s vengeful gang and Wade’s own conniving and surreptitious demeanor that makes the ride all the more intense.” Written by: commanderblue

  1. I LOVED 3:10 to Yuma! I waited until it was out on video to watch it. I have seen the original, and I like this one better. Christian Bale lends that icy, calm voice to his characters which is what seems to make him so distinct to me. Plus, Russell Crowe makes an excellent bad guy!

  2. OMG SQUEEEEEEEEE!

I loved this movie. Christian Bale is hot. Russel Crow is hot. It is just hot hot hot.

    That is all.
    🙂

  3. hehehe, I am glad I am not the only one who feels like that about those two hot guys! hehe

  4. they do not light up my hot-o-meter but they aren’t bad looking either. However, if it was someone like Terrence Howard or Ken Leung or Paul Walker well that is a totally different story!

  5. Hmm..Paul Walker is a definite A+ in my book as well LOL.

  6. hey – i saw a new movie! shocker! (but it’s from 2007)

“Atonement” – sucked. Because everybody dies, and it’s supposed to be a “romance”. ugh.

  7. Oh, BTW, Happy Mother’s Day WmWB and all the other visiting mom’s on this page! :o)

  8. Tisk Tisk Tisk do not say I did not warn you. I have made MANY remarks on here about how bad Atonement was….. I saw it in the theater for my birthday…. it blew bigger ____ than some ____ I know. hahahaha
